O.C-Animatic Reflection

The purpose of the animatic was to visually see our ideas as animations see the ideas and shot that we have planned for our film. To make it easier when eventually do film the piece as we have clear ideas and intentions of what we want before we shoot.

In the animatic we in cooperate a range of different shots ranging from extreme close-ups to long-shots, this is to make sure we show we have intentions to show numerous different types of shots in our final piece.

Sound can be heard within our animatic we tried to create a sinister mood within the animations to emphasise an unusual character and setting. Sound is something we are really trying use effectively as this is a technical area we are strong in and when used properly can be major role in the making of the film.

Movement can be seen in the animatic when the antagonist is dragging the girl through the woods. We tried to show movements in a few frames but found it hard to do it in all of them as it is hard to express movement with the use of pictures. We plan to have much more movement in the final piece.

The two minute minimum of the final piece is nearly met in the animatic with it lasting 1 minute 55 seconds, so this clearly shows we have evidence to suggest we have enough ideas to fill the time we need to film in our final piece

We faced challenges in the fact that we had a lot of ideas and we struggled to cut some of them in a way that the film sequence still made sense. But we overcame this and narrowed it down in the animatic.
